HOW TO NAIL A 30 DAYS BACKPACK FOR CROSS ICELAND EXPEDITION

How to survive and make great pictures during the Cross Iceland North to South Expedition

ICELANDBACKPACKLAP.jpg

The question is: HOW TO prepare your backpack for the Iceland north to south expedition, where I will be one month off grid, facing solitude, extreme weather conditions and challenging terrain.

Has been a long month of preparation, drawing the trail and defining waypoints and camps with the help of Google Earth. I’ll start on the Artic circle, the lighthouse of Hraunhafnartangi, walking to Ásbyrgi, then heading to lake Mivatn, crossing the biggest lava desert in the world Odadahraun, touching the biggest glacier in Europe Vatnajökull (already crossed in 2014), heading south to Ladmannalugar, thorsmork, summiting the Eyafallajokull volcano, still warm after the eruption of 2010, and finally ending on the black beach of Skogar.

The challenge is how to organize your backpack to survive and get cool shots, without collapsing under the weight of your backpack.

Here the answer with this VIDEO TUTORIAL BELOW:
